Mr Fix It

Awhile back we noticed that the ceiling in my closet was leaking. Not a great find when you go and get clothes out and they are soaked! I didn't want to know how bad it was. I didn't want to know how much it was going to cost to get it fixed. It had to be done. Bring in Mr. Fix-It, aka, my dad. Gabriel talked to him about it last night and he told us that he would be over in the morning to have a look. I am still nervous. He climbs up on the roof and says, "I see the first problem." The flashing was on top of the shingles not under them. The water was running under the flashing. Bringing us to problem number two, the rotting board under the shingles. That is where my concerns lay. How bad was it really? How much do we need to replace? When I went back up to check on things this is what I saw....
I keep having faith that it will all be okay! My dad does know what he is doing. So I leave, and let him do what he needs to do. When I finally came up again the sight was not so horrid!

After I saw this I was more at ease. God blessed us. The only things we had to buy was the tar and the nails. When we bought the house, there were shingles left in the shed. We also that the board. A wonderful friend had tar paper that he gave to us. The total cost for the whole project was about $13. Oh and and lunch! :) So worth it.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to come and help. It means more than you know. As Zion said, "haw paw I'm impressed!"

Here are the rest of the pictures that I took! THANK YOU DAD!!!!

Z-Boy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!

Where have the last 7 years gone? It does not seem possible that my little boy is 7! He is a blessing (as are all of my kids). He has a very big heart, and a love for the Lord that amazes me. Oh to have faith like a child. Seeing all the changes and growing he has done in the last 7 years, I look forward to the next 7.

Timing

In less than a 3 week time frame, our little ladybug has been proving that she wanted to do things in her own time. She is now sitting up, crawling, pulling herself up, and slowing walking around furniture. We are going to keep an eye on her and if things keep progressing, we will take her to our local doctor and have her re-evaluated.

How often do we do this with God? We want what We want, when WE want it and will do what We can to make that happen. When it doesn't happen we get upset. God's timing is always right. Romans 5:6-8 says, "For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

His timing is perfect!
